Segment builder

Segments in Prepr are groups of customers based on one or more common details. You can use segments for engagement analysis purposes, sending notifications, or personalizing your content.

Adding a segment

To create a segment, go to EngageCustomers and click ' Create segment'. A box with input fields appears, and you can now determine the conditions of the segment. It is possible to stack multiple conditions: the example below is based on everyone who has an e-mail address and who has viewed the content item. Check also this list of all possible properties.

Click ' Save segment' and enter a segment name. Click 'Save' to save the conditions in a segment. You will now be directed to a list of all your segments.

Updating a segment

Manually

You can change the segment by updating the conditions. Add new conditions, or remove conditions and click Save to apply to changes.

Automatically

Each segment will be synchronized automatically, every 15 minutes. All profiles that currently meet the segment conditions are added to the segment. Any profiles that no longer match will be removed from the segment.

Deleting a segment

To delete a segment, simply click the three dots and choose ' Delete'. The segment will be deleted, the customer profiles will remain.

Segment insights

To see all segments in your Prepr account, go to Engage > Segments. This is a list of all segments, so you can check how many customers the segment contains and when it was last synchronized. To view the details of a segment, click on a segment. You will now see the list of customers, filtered by your segment.

Segment properties explained

You can group profiles based on a variety of personal details, events, and engagement score.

Engagement score

At last, you can segment by engagement score. This is the sum of all events times the value of those events. In this way, you can, for example, segment the customers who most often see, read, or click on your content.
